Yesterday, one of the other temps (cool guy, movie buff, majored in film and theatre) was talking about starting the long, steady process of looking for another job, because temp work is, by definition, temporary and, by nature, uncertain. So one of the other temps is a Venture Bros. fan, but it gets better. He used to be a high school math teacher, and, for an assignment where the students had to draw a picture enlargement, the students who didn't bring their own picture got to draw Rusty Venture. So, back in mid-June, I booked my flight for Dragon*Con. I got a good deal, the flights were convenient, and it took a load off my mind because that was the last of my preparations. So I went to bed around 1:30 this morning, working on my thesis, and got up early for a meeting at 11 with my advisor. When my advisor got there, she looked like she had a burst blood vessel in her eye, and she said that she was having trouble feeling and moving her left arm and leg and that she felt dizzy. I had two weird dreams this week. In the first one, I had lunch with my dad and Doc Hammer. What made the dream really, legitimately weird was that my dad thought Doc was awesome. This may be the most unlikely thing I have ever dreamt. In the other dream, I was kidnapped by the Czech mafia. I don't even know.
